Rare Sid James Press Photos

I have recently made a couple of interesting purchases to add to my collection of Sid James related memorabilia. The two collections of images now in my possession are all original press photographs complete with agency stamps on the reverse.

The vast majority of the photographs are ones which I have not seen before, so I thought I would share them here with you all. There are also a number of images for which I do not have any information as to when and where they were taken. If anyone does have any information for any of the following I would love to hear from you!

An official press release from Thames Television of Sid and Diana Coupland for the Bless This House episode 'Moiney is the Root of...' which was broadcast on February 20 1974

A lovely photo of Sid and his wife Val taken in February 1970. Image copyright Universal Pictorial Press.

Image is dated December 1970. Copyright Universal Pictorial Press.

The sign for The Silent Enemy in the background gives the year away as 1958. That is all the information I have for this one.

The gentleman with Sid here looks the same person as in the previous photo, so I guess this was also from the event for The Silent Enemy in 1958.

This is also likely to be from the event for The Silent Enemy in 1958.

The only information I have for this image is the identity of the copyright holder - Herald Express, Torquay.

The date for this image is unknown.

The only information I have for this photo of Sid signing autographs for fans is the date it was taken - 28 October 1963.

If anyone has any further information for any of the above press photographs, I would love to hear from you. I can be contacted via the contact form on the left of the page or via the Sid's Place Twitter page here Sid's Place on Twitter
